Part-Time Child Behavior Therapist

Job Title: Behavior Therapist (BT)/ Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Lake Effect ABA is fast-growing practice looking for dedicated Behavior Therapists (BTs) / Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide in-home ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism.

Schedule: We are currently hiring for multiple clients in this area with varying schedules. Available hours include weekday mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. Employees typically receive 6–15 hours per week, with those who have greater availability generally eligible for more hours. Availability will be discussed during the interview to determine the best fit.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in their homes, following individualized treatment plans created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Use positive reinforcement strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Accurately collect data using an electronic data collection system and document session notes.
• Follow behavior support plans (BSPs) reduce challenging behaviors.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and BCBA supervisors to support the child’s progress.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

What You Need to Join Our Team:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s may be required in certain locations due to our insurance contracts).
• Passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes within the designated service area.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet all state requirements for working with children.
• Must be able to kneel, bend, sit on the floor, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed during sessions.
