Connecting Ministry/Database Manager
Title: Director of Connectional Ministries/Database Manager
Supervision: Executive Pastor
Compensation: Full Time, Exempt
General Job Description: The Director of Connectional Ministries/Database Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols and developing connecting strategies with our congregation which reflect the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Goals of LDUMC in coordination with all appropriate pastors, staff, and laity.

- Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn Lake Deaton church software system.
- Ability to use PC and Mac systems and social media technology.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed and/or weekends.
- Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures.
- Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.
- Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or relevant experience.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for developing a culture of radical hospitality between congregants, staff, and pastors.
· Quantify and complete accurate count of congregant engagement levels to implement a process of connecting and reconnecting with congregants.
· Oversee Coffee with the Pastors’ (New Member Class) setup, implementation, and consistent follow up. Print certificates for New Members, add names to database, and keep wooden crosses in stock.
· Serve as back-up to entering data when First Time Guest volunteer is absent. Manage weekly Wufoo forms/reports.
· Serve as Membership secretary, updating changes in our database and directory accordingly. Perform yearly membership audit and prepare appropriate conference reports.
· Oversee and maintain upkeep for Connect Desk and lobby area.
· Create and maintain a database policy and procedures handbook, which has been approved by the database management team.
· Maintain membership database with adding, editing, and deleting members, as outlined in database procedures.
· Complete year-end conference reports on membership.
· Responsible for the physical sign-ups and form backup on all events, including keeping ministries updated on attendance.
- Serve as the Secretary of the Charge Conference and the Ministry Team by taking and maintaining official minutes. Work closely with Ministry Chair on key objectives including Mission, Vision, Values, Strategic Goals, Retreats, etc.
- Work closely with Office Manager and Event Coordinator to schedule events, conferences, workshops and/or special events.
- Ensure that all conference reports are submitted properly and timely.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
