Position Summary:
A Phlebotomist Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.
- Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
- Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
- Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.
What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Current Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, AMT or NHA preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
