What are the responsibilities and job description for the RTI Coordinator position at Lake County School System?
Purpose of the Job:
The RTI (Response to Instruction and Intervention) Coordinator supports the district's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) by providing leadership, training, and coaching to interventionists, classroom teachers, and administrators. This position is responsible for building the capacity of school staff to deliver effective Tier I instruction and implement targeted interventions based on identified student skill deficits in reading and math. Working under the direction of the Director of Instruction, the RTI Coordinator uses student achievement data, universal screeners, progress monitoring tools, and formative assessments to guide instructional decision making. The Coordinator facilitates and supports tier meetings, assists in interpreting data to inform instruction, and ensures fidelity of intervention implementation across all tiers. Through a collaborative approach, the RTI Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening core instruction and accelerating student growth across the district.
