Inspire the Next Generation of Baking & Pastry Professionals
Lake Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Baking & Pastry Arts Instructor to join our supportive Culinary Arts team. If you have a passion for baking, pastry arts, and mentoring future professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
This position teaches our 600-hour Baking & Pastry Arts program, which runs annually from mid-August through mid-April during evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in baking and pastry arts.
- Prepare students for success in the culinary industry through classroom and laboratory instruction.
- Demonstrate proper techniques, food safety, sanitation, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of culinary instructors and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of professional baking and pastry industry experience.
- ServSafe Food Managers certification, preferred – or willingness to obtain the certification quickly.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Prior teaching or training experience is a plus but not required.
