Role Description
Lake County Press, Inc. is seeking a dedicated, experienced 2nd Pressman for a full-time, second shift, on-site role at our Waukegan, IL location. The 2nd Pressman will support print production by assisting in the operation and maintenance of offset and digital printing presses. Daily responsibilities will include setting up and calibrating presses, ensuring print quality, supporting pre-press processes, and troubleshooting press issues. This role involves collaboration with the production team and maintaining high-quality standards for all printed materials.
Qualifications
- Experience with Printing and operation of Printing Presses to ensure high-quality output.
- Strong knowledge of Pre-Press processes and the ability to prepare files for efficient printing operations.
- Skill in Print Design and proficiency with tools used for creating and managing design files.
- Detail-oriented approach to Quality Control, with a focus on maintaining consistency and meeting client specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site production environment in Waukegan, IL.
- Physical ability to perform tasks associated with press operation, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Prior experience in a print production environment is preferred but not required.
