Assistant Middle School Cross Country Coach

Stipend Amount: Starts at $1599/year; follows coaching salary schedule

Supervisor: Head MS Cross Country Coach and Athletic Director

Estimated time commitment:   10-20 hours per week during the season (The official season is August 10 - October 10.) 

Detailed description of duties/responsibilities:

• Run with athletes
• Attend practices Monday-Thursday 4:00-5:30 pm
• Supervise athletes at meets and on the bus traveling to and from those events
• Build a positive team environment
• Promote physical fitness and sportsmanship
• Available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel with the team to different locations for meets
• Get certified to drive a school vehicle and drive for practices/meets 
• Complete the coach certifications required by the school district
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Special qualifications, if any:

• Experience coaching, preferred 
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
