Our Transportation Department is searching for Bus Attendants.

Essential Job Duties for Bus Attendants:
- Maintains reasonable order during bus operation to ensure safety of all individuals.
- Maintains safety precautions when individuals are boarding and departing the bus.
- Assists individuals in an evacuation or other bus emergency.
- In conjunction with the bus driver, makes sure no individual is left on the bus.
- Knowledge of the bus route should help be needed by the bus driver.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the inside of the bus.
- Ensures all bags and equipment are placed in the proper storage.
- Able to be trained in the use of the lift and tie-down systems for individuals using wheelchairs.
- Exercises sound, effective, and appropriate intervention methods to control inappropriate behavior by individual(s) during bus operation and reports incidents to appropriate supervisor.
- Promotes atmosphere of good conduct on the bus by implementing Agency rules for bus riders.
- Participates in all in-service training programs developed by the transportation department
- Establish and maintain good rapport with individuals on the bus, co-workers, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Part Time—Hours Vary; Monday – Friday
