We are now hiring for a Night Shift Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at our Turtle Lake, WI plant. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the equipment and facility throughout the Lake Country Dairy cheese manufacturing plant.
Shift hours: M-F, Hours can be scheduled as 9P-6A OR 10P-7A OR 11P-8A based upon candidate preference.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee sanitation processes and functions ensuring sanitation standards and regulatory requirements are met.
- Learn and maintain an in depth understanding of our CIP systems, processes and procedures
- Oversee all CIP systems to ensure correct operation and validation of water and chemical usage.
- Oversee and supervise sanitation practices throughout the plant in each area (clean and pack, mascarpone, intake, make room, etc.)
- Partner with production supervisors to determine and allocate labor resources and time needed to complete sanitation tasks
- Ensure sanitation tasks are completed in a way that maximizes effectiveness, safety and efficiency
- Responsible for chemical training, including:
- Development, implementation and maintenance of training content and materials
- Utilization of both classroom and hands on training methods
- Facilitation and/or coordination of training with supervisors and employees
- Ensuring new hire training completion for employees on shift within 30 days of hire
- Responsible for maintaining and updating of plant SDS binders
- Responsible for master sanitation and other sanitations schedules and paperwork (daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual)
- Chemical Inventory & Purchasing
- Managing the relationships with chemical vendors & vendor representatives
- Perform regular audits of the sanitation process and utilize findings to improve the process and implement change.
- Demonstrate ownership and influence over sanitation practices through daily plant wide oversight and commitment to driving consistent and high quality sanitation practices
- Provide indirect supervision/support to all other employees in regards to sanitation work

Education, Experience, Qualities and Skills Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (but not required)
- 2-4 years’ experience in sanitation supervision, food manufacturing experience preferred
- Sanitation and CIP system experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good conflict management collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- Ability to lead by example (demonstrate strong work ethic, positive attitude, etc)
- Effectively able to plan and prioritize work
- Ability to design and implement training programs
- Safety focused
- Works with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks and resolve issues
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Work environment is performed in both plant and office settings, with majority of work in the manufacturing plant areas (80%). Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs. Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 30-100 degrees. Work to be performed in evening hours (M-F 9P-6A) in accordance with hours of plant sanitation activities. Must be able to flex hours as needed based upon plant sanitation needs.
