Cabinet Designer

Lake Country Custom Cabinets (LCCC) in Menomonee Falls WI produces custom residential and commercial cabinets.

LCCC is looking to add a full-time cabinet designer/engineer to our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Cabinet Vision with S2M center. You will create cabinet drawings from architectural plans and residential field measurements and export files to a CNC router. You will produce documents required for production and create detailed drawings for shop use as well as installer use. This position requires collaboration with project managers and shop foreman to ensure that all designs meet project specifications.

Duties

• Become Familiar with LCCC construction and drawing standards to ensure consistent quality projects.
• Engineer custom cabinets using Cabinet Vision.
• Create customer drawings using Cabinet Vision.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients and field conditions.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure project requirements are met.
• Collaborate with shop foreman and make changes based on his feedback.
• Ensure shop foreman has a full understanding of the project and its design.
• Field measure and change drawings accordingly.
• Prepare project documents including detailed shop drawings, job reports, and CNC cut sheets.
• Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
• Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documents.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cabinet Vision experience including S2M Center.
• Experience in creating custom cabinet drawings.
• Knowledge of cabinet design and construction methods.
• Able to work closely with other team members as well as independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Knowledge of general woodworking techniques.
