We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K/5-1st Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a vibrant classroom environment. Located in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Lake Country Christian School's long time lead primary teacher will mentor and support the right candidate to learn Lake Country’s unique teaching style. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with children in early childhood education, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a strong commitment to student success, ensuring each child reaches their full potential through innovative teaching methods and personalized instruction. As a key member of our educational team, you will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and implement curriculum standards that promote a love of learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies.
- Monitor student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, analyzing student performance data to inform instruction.
- Incorporate educational technology tools (IXL) to support and enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, progress reports, and updates to foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and school-wide initiatives.
- Support extracurricular activities such as library services or physical education to promote holistic development.
- Engage in professional development opportunities related to Lake Country methods, differentiated instruction, or childhood development trends.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, behavioral incidents, and compliance documentation in accordance with educational regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid state teaching certification for elementary or early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration.
- Ability to analyze student performance data to tailor instruction and support differentiated learning styles.
- Able to communicate a Christian Worldview through instruction and interactions with students.
