Director of Nursing (DON)

Lake City Center for Nursing and Healing, part of the Empire Care Centers family, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON)

• Oversee development and implementation of care plans

• Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance

• Support medication administration, treatment processes, and clinical outcomes

• Partner closely with the Administrator and Regional Clinical Team

• Uphold and monitor infection control and safety standards

• Maintain a positive, supportive, person-centered environment for residents and staff

• Build and coach a strong nursing team through mentorship and accountability

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia

• 3–5 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment

• Previous clinical leadership experience in LTC/SNF required

• Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills

• Ability to lead through collaboration, mentorship, and high clinical standards
