Lake Charlevoix EMS Authority is looking for dedicated and skilled Paramedics to join our team in Charlevoix, MI and the surrounding townships. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing advanced life support (ALS) care in the field
- Assess, treat, and stabilize patients using advanced medical equipment and protocols
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and airway management
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs and continuity of care
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and transport information in patient care reports (PCRs)
- Maintain and inspect EMS vehicles, equipment, and medical supplies to ensure readiness
- Collaborate with fire, law enforcement, and other emergency services personnel on scene
Requirements:
- Current Michigan State Paramedic licensure or National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification
- Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members
- Prior EMS field experience preferred; new graduates with clinical excellence encouraged to apply
