Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide friendly, professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities
- Support supervising team members during busy periods or special events as needed
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in fast-paced settings
- Experience with retail math for balancing registers and handling transactions accurately
