POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lake Area Technical College is seeking a dependable, customer-focused individual to join our food service team at Market 65. This part-time temporary position supports the preparation, serving, and clean-up of nutritious meals and snacks, while delivering exceptional service to students, staff, and campus guests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals.
- Background in food preparation or cooking a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to supporting student success in a collaborative team environment.
- Prior experience in a food service environment a plus.
- Demonstrates knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40.lbs.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other food service staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Willingness to perform a variety of duties and adjust to schedule changes as needed (especially during special events).
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director, Director of Support Operations, Vice President
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate cash register/till, make change, and provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
- Assist with on-campus catering: deliver, set up, and serve food for campus events as assigned.
- Represent Market 65 and Lake Area Tech positively at all events and functions.
- Prepare menu items, set up serving stations, and operate food service equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, assist with daily clean-up, equipment maintenance, and closing procedures.
- Follow all safety, food handling, and sanitation regulations.
- Hours are determined on the needs of the Market 65 business.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall food service operation.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $15.75 /hour. Salary set by the Watertown School board.
