POSITION OVERVIEW: The Lead Admissions Representative serves as a Team Leader within the Admissions Office at Lake Area Technical College. This individual will perform the full scope of duties of an admissions representative, while also taking on leadership responsibilities, including training, mentoring, and supporting the admissions team. The Lead Admissions Representative will coordinate the day-to-day administrative functions of the department, assist with scheduling and planning outreach efforts, and ensure consistency and excellence in customer service delivery and student recruitment processes.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily guidance, support, and leadership to admissions representatives.
- Train and onboard new admissions representatives, ensuring consistency in messaging, processes, and recruitment strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for admissions team questions and problem-solving.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on enrollment goals and student service.
- Represent the college at high schools, college fairs, career fairs, and community events.
- Conduct campus tours, group visits, and individual meetings with prospective students and families.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, career advisors, and community organizations.
- Coordinate team schedules, event assignments, and outreach initiatives.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures for admissions activities.
- Assist with data tracking and reporting for team performance and enrollment metrics.
- Work closely with the Dean of Student Services on strategic initiatives and departmental planning.
- Work closely with marketing, academic programs, and student services to align recruitment efforts with college offerings.
- Serve as a liaison between admissions representatives and leadership.
- Provide input on promotional materials, event planning, and student communication strategies.
- Actively participate in Lake Area Technical College functions and engage in the broader campus community to support a positive and student-centered environment.
- Assist with online students as needed.
- Coordinate the admissions team to assist in representing at events closely aligned with Lake Area Technical College’s mission.
- Other duties as assigned
REPORTS TO: Dean of Student Services; Vice President
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree from an accredited institution.
- One or more years of direct experience in an admissions office in a higher education setting.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively, both from an office setting and while traveling remotely.
- Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
- Supervisory or mentoring experience a plus.
- Familiarity with student and/or customer relationship management systems.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and benefits set by the Watertown School Board.
SALARY: $56,000.00 - $64,000.00
