South Dakota Manufacturing & Technology Solutions, hosted by Lake Area Technical College (LATC), is the official Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center for South Dakota. SDMTS is part of the MEP National Network, which is a unique public-private partnership that provides business consulting to South Dakota manufacturers to fuel growth and advance the state’s economy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, marketing, or related business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in event coordination, project management, or administrative support roles; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite; additional experience in QuickBooks and Salesforce or similar financial and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms preferred.
- Ability to work independently using excellent organizational skills while coordinating multiple projects at one time.
- Strong communication skills in written and verbal methods with clients, staff, and the public.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
REPORTS TO: SDMTS Director, LATC Vice President
DUTIES:
- Support SDMTS in reaching its annual programmatic and strategic goals.
- Manage communication with the Marketing contractor and provide updates to the team as required.
- Coordinate arrangements for on and off-campus events, meetings, and trainings hosted by SDMTS and its team.
- Manage accounts receivable and related reporting.
- Manage contracts with clients and 3rd party vendors.
- Provide clerical support for the SDMTS Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Part-time, up to twenty (20) hours per week, location flexible within South Dakota.
12-month contract with salary and benefits set by the Watertown School Board.
