Mobile Work Crew Job Coach
Job Description
The mobile work crew job coach is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a mobile work crew. The coach will be assigned a crew if one is available, but is expected to fill in for other crews if needed, and work with multiple part-time crews if a full time crew isn’t currently established. The coach may also need to work inside the sheltered workshop if there is no crew available to take out on certain days. He or she is responsible for instructional direction, one-on-one counseling, and intervention with employees and/or staff when necessary. Sets a professional example and expectations through their actions, attendance, hygiene, and dress. Must act as an advocate on behalf of those in their respective groups. CPR, AED, First Aid, class E license, will all be paid for and provided by LAI.
Duties:
- Train new and existing crew members to efficiently perform their job functions by using methods learned in training.
- Reports any abuse or neglect detected, as well as any client concerns regarding HCBS or Employee rights
- Meets standards, quality, and/or deadlines set forth by the Executive Director and business partner
- Regularly perform quality checks against Job Specifications as required and record findings
- Work to build relationships with business partners and all crew members
- Provide employees encouragement, moral support, direction
- Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner
- Operate equipment at offsite location in a safe and responsible manner
- Follow policies and procedures as established by LAI operating procedures and employee handbook
- Timely meets training requirement set by DMH upon employment and annually thereafter
- Understand and follow HCBS rules and Employee Rights and Responsibilities
- Log service documentation as required including crew member name, date, location, hours worked, and details as to what methods were used to work towards goals and outcomes set in the crew members plan
- Perform monthly evaluation for each crew member with the help of the job coach
- Attend the annual planning meeting of each crew member if the crew member allows

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. First Aid/CPR/AED certification required but provided by LAI. Valid Drivers license and Chauffeurs license required. Prior experience with people with disabilities is helpful. Supervision experience is preferred. Background check free from violence or theft required.

Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision, peripheral vision, and an ability to adjust focus. Color vision is preferable but not required.
