We are a small, privately owned dental office looking for a dependable, organized, and personable Front Desk Receptionist / Insurance Coordinator to join our team.
The primary focus of this position will be front desk and insurance coordination, including patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, treatment coordination, and helping ensure the day-to-day front office runs smoothly.
Because we are a small private practice, we work very closely as a team and are looking for someone who is willing to step in and help wherever needed. This position will also assist with various administrative responsibilities, including helping create and maintain a structured system for organizing, tracking, and paying dental laboratory bills and other office-related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations
- Assist patients with insurance questions and treatment costs
- Coordinate treatment plans and help patients understand their recommended care
- Maintain accurate patient and insurance information
- Assist with patient accounts and payment collection
- Help organize, track, and process dental laboratory bills and payments
- Assist with general administrative duties and office organization
- Support the doctor and clinical team as needed
- Step in and assist with other front office responsibilities when needed
- Work closely with the entire team to maintain an efficient and positive office environment
Qualifications
- Dental office experience is required
- Previous experience with dental insurance, claims, and treatment coordination is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance benefits and terminology
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable multitasking in a busy dental office
- Professional, dependable, and proactive
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
