Job Title: Office Assistant
Location: Canton, MI
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $20 /hr
About Us
We are seeking a dependable, organized Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations and help keep their office running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
- Greet customers, vendors, and visitors in a professional manner.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, purchase orders, and other office documents.
- Maintain filing systems and organize company records.
- Enter and update customer and job information in company software.
- Coordinate with the shop team to track job status and schedules.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
- Assist with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other bookkeeping tasks as needed.
- Perform general administrative duties and support management with special projects.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous office or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or metal fabrication is preferred but not required.
