This is a hybrid role ideal for a seasoned foreman or lead carpenter looking to expand into operational leadership. You’ll be the right-hand support to ownership and office management—leading field teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring construction projects stay on track both in the field and behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily jobsite operations and direct oversight of field crews (3–6 personnel).
- Serve as a liaison between field operations and the office, assisting with scheduling and jobsite troubleshooting.
- Supervise subcontractors, from framing to finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for job execution.
- Perform high-level carpentry tasks, including framing, staircases, and window installations.
- Collaborate with office staff on design coordination and project planning.
- Maintain project quality standards and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Manage materials estimation, ordering, and jobsite logistics.
- Commercial projects include pre-engineered steel buildings.
- Transition between field and office as necessary (hybrid field/office schedule).
- Act as a key decision-maker on-site with strong independent judgment.
Qualifications
- 10 years of professional carpentry experience.
- 5 years in a leadership or foreman role preferred.
- Broad trade knowledge across framing, finish carpentry, and general construction.
- Strong blueprint reading, layout, and materials estimating skills.
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable; able to pivot between field and office duties.
- Experience managing subcontractors and small teams.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Comfortable with limited local travel to job sites.

Schedule
- Full-Time – 8-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week, year-round
- Hybrid Field/Office Role as needed
Work Location
- Projects primarily based around Central Vermont

- Occasional office-based work at company headquarters
