Responsibilities
- Develop & implement processes, procedures, and tools that aid in the efficiency of quality project management
- Conduct semi-annual performance appraisals
- Conduct regularly scheduled Laitram Continuous Improvement (LCI) exercises with Project Management Team
- Provide training for new employees
- Ensure clear project requirements
- Ensure clear scope of work and alignment to requirements
- Build and manage Project Plan (Engineering to Commissioning)
- Work with sales, engineering, service and the customer to develop and document a plan for efficient installations and commissioning of equipment.
- Identify project risks and develop plans for risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely, efficient project execution and completion.
- Communicate and interface with management, team members, and internal customers on project status.
- Willingness to assist in product testing and other project related tasks.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5 year or more demonstrated project management skills with multi-discipline design projects.
- Experience working in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc)
- Experience working in a Project Management software (Smartsheets, Asana, Trello, etc)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to travel as needed
- Excellent relationship skills with team members, subcontractors, internal customers, other internal resources (including management, engineers, and plant personnel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions.
- Ability to understand project requirements, identify and allocate resources with the expertise to meet them, and coordinate resources to reach a successful outcome.
- Project Management Professional certification
- Demonstrated experience in technical documentation, training on technical processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- 5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Engineering, R&D and/or Manufacturing environment
- Smartsheet and Microsoft Dynamics experience
