Duties
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments using Dental coding.
- Review and process dental insurance claims accurately using The 2026 CDT Dental code book
- Ensure proper documentation of Dental records and treatment details for billing purposes
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through Unresolved claims within our Dentrix Ascend must have knowledge of Dentrix Ascend and collections procedures to secure appropriate reimbursement
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or issues related to coverage or claim status
- Maintain comprehensive records of all billing activities, claims submissions, and correspondence for audit readiness
- Stay updated on changes in Dental billing regulations, coding updates, and dental insurance policies to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience in Dental office settings with a focus on dental or healthcare insurance coordination
- Strong knowledge of Dental coding including experience with DentAl collection procedures and resolving claim denials effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling Dental records and billing documentation
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, insurance providers, and team members to facilitate smooth operations
- Knowledge of current regulations related to Dental billing and insurance policies is highly desirable
