Laila's Way Behavioral Services is seeking a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) to join our expanding behavioral health team serving children and adolescents throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Position Summary
The Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) is responsible for assessing behavioral needs, developing treatment recommendations, supervising Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), monitoring treatment progress, collaborating with treatment teams, and providing direct behavioral services when clinically appropriate.
This position is hybrid in nature. Administrative responsibilities may be completed remotely; however, regular travel is required to client homes, schools, community settings, and agency locations for supervision, direct services, training, and meetings.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Conduct behavioral assessments and evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment recommendations.
- Monitor client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Review behavioral data and adjust interventions as needed.
- Participate in treatment planning activities.
BHT Supervision
- Conduct in-person supervision of assigned BHTs.
- Observe treatment implementation.
- Provide coaching and feedback.
- Ensure treatment fidelity and quality service delivery.
- Support staff development and performance.
Direct Services
- Provide direct behavioral support services when clinically indicated.
- Model interventions and strategies for BHTs and caregivers.
- Assist with complex behavioral cases.
Documentation
- Complete progress reports and treatment updates.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Review and analyze behavioral data.
- Ensure compliance with payer and agency requirements.
Collaboration
- Participate in clinical meetings and supervision.
- Meet regularly with the Clinical Director.
- Attend required trainings and professional development activities (W2 employee only; 1099 contractors are responsible for submitting proof of compliance training independently)
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other providers.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) License
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field
- Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral health needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas
