Laidig Systems, Inc is looking for an experienced Welding Fabricator to join our team.
THIS IS A FIRST SHIFT POSITION.
Welder Fabricator Duties & Responsibilities - How You’ll Make an Impact:
? Interpret, fabricate, and build heavy industrial weldments from a print
? Read and apply bills of materials, create fabrications according to work flow
routings and work orders
? Setup and fabricate weldments using modern fixturing and layout table
? Carry out and perform to verbal instructions, maintain and fill out written
documents, perform work in accordance to OSHA lifting guidelines
? Perform welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW
? Perform material removal, cutting and heating operations with oxy-fuel torches, plasma and carbon arc gouging
? Use hand drills, hydraulic punches and shears
? Use large capacity overhead and jib cranes to move heavy weldments and miscellaneous hand-operated material handling equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Layout, assemble, fabricate and finish weld weldments per verbal and written instructions using layout tables and other fabrication equipment.
- Record all performed daily work into Laidig business system.
- Perform other activities as directed by Team Leader.
- Comply with all company safety and conduct rules.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized area of daily working operation.
- Work overtime as required.
- Provide and maintain your own hand tools, steel toed foot wear and prescription safety glasses if needed.

Position Requirements – What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- High School Diploma, GED or Technical Schooling.
- 5 plus years fabrication experience mandatory.
- Pass Laidig Welding and Blue Print reading screening.
- Proof of past AWS D1.1 certifications
