Laidig Systems, Inc. is actively interviewing candidates for a Manufacturing Technician. Laidig is looking for a positive, high energy, self-directed individual to join our growing team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the Manufacturing Technician position.
This is a first shift position.
The Manufacturing Technician would be responsible performing the following functions:
- Read and understand bills of material, work routings, work orders, and engineering drawings
- Operate oxy/acetylene torches for general steel cutting
- Understand and carry out verbal instructions and fill out various written and computer forms
- Operate fork lift, remote activated overhead cranes and miscellaneous hand tools
- Lift within OSHA guidelines
- Apply tungsten carbide powder via oxy/acetylene torch set
- Build wooden packaging and crates for the safe shipment of components and assemblies
- Claim hourly work completed via computer every day
- Work in a safe and efficient manner and obey all company rules and regulations
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
- Work overtime as required
- Provide own basic mechanical hand tools and storage box
- Perform other activities as directed by Team Leader
Laidig is looking for Manufacturing Technicians who will exhibit good character traits, such as initiative, ability to get along with others, honesty, a good attitude, and a desire to learn. Excellent punctuality and attendance are of the utmost importance. You will be required to perform repetitive tasks as needed.
