Since our founding in 1961, our capability and reputation has steadily grown, thanks to our commitment to providing the highest quality storage and reclaim systems. All of our custom-engineered projects are developed, manufactured, and serviced from our facility here in Mishawaka, IN.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and motivated individual to join our Service Team as a full-time Field Service Technician. This is a traveling position and requires weekly domestic and some international travel, with the average field time ranging between 90-140 nights out per year.
Field Service Technician Requirements:
- A high school diploma or higher education
- Mechanically minded with strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Employees will need a valid driver’s license and live within driving distance of Laidig Systems in Mishawaka, IN
- Ability to travel weekly
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited to:
- Performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and repairing material conveying equipment including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
- Filling out a checklist and explaining equipment operation and potential issues to equipment owners/operators.
- Filling out detailed weekly follow up and expense reports.
