We are seeking a Senior Fixture Design Engineer with 7 years of experience in fixture design, tooling development, and manufacturing engineering. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, validation, and deployment of assembly fixtures, inspection fixtures, test fixtures, robotic end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), gauges, jigs, and production aids supporting NPI and high-volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tooling, EOAT, gauges, and test equipment.
- Create 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and GD&T documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensional validation, and fixture locating design.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Automation, and Operations teams.
- Support tooling fabrication, supplier management, validation, commissioning, and production launch activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in fixture/tooling design and manufacturing environments.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with machining, fabrication, welding, assembly processes, and automation tooling.
- Knowledge of NPI, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and production validation methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotic tooling, EOAT, sensor integration, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia.
- Strong project leadership, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
