Description of Work:

Receive, inspect, stage, store, pick, pack, and ship materials. Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Transport materials, equipment, and authorized personnel between DOT facilities and warehouse locations. Secure loads and comply with applicable transportation safety regulations. Maintain trip documentation and delivery confirmations. Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages. Process customer requests via telephone and email. Coordinate delivery schedules and confirmations. Enter warehouse transactions into FRAMES system including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and location updates. Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment. Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to use computers and mobile devices for data entry, email communication, and system navigation. Must successfully pass a background check prior to system access.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

This position requires the occupant to have excellent organizational, time management and communication skills with all levels of warehouse workers and other government staff. Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision. Occupant must be skilled at communicating effectively with personnel at all levels, both orally and in writing. Valid and current Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Air Brake Endorsement. Forklift Certification. Clean driving record compliant with DOT safety standards

Education:

A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited program. Experience with computerized inventory systems required.

Work Experience:

Three (3) years or more of demonstrated experience in federal warehouse property management, inventory control and forklift operation. Demonstrated experience entering data by using enterprise asset management systems (FRAMES or equivalent). Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform standard and physical warehouse activities. Valid class B commercial driver’s license. Must be able to successfully pass a background check as required prior to system access.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
