What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT position at Lahn Hospitality and Amusement Group?
The Funplex is looking to hire an EMT for our summer season.
Responsibilities include:
Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds
Provide life support care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed
Assess a patient's conditions and provide initial treatment
Determine whether a patient needs to go to an ER or needs transport
Responding to calls, within the amusement park, that are dispatched via radio by co-workers or team members on behalf of guests needing medical assistance on the BLS level
Assessing patients' conditions and responsiveness to interventions.
Assessing nature and extent of emergency situations, and need for additional assistance.
Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables, and performing other duties.
Completing patient care and incident reports the same day as the incident occurs
Complying with applicable policies and procedures and medical protocols.
Attending weekly or bi-weekly meetings with managers or Head EMT
Restocking medical supplies for EMT bag and First Aid supply locations in accordance to NJ state sanitation code N.J.A.C 8:26 Appendix B
EMT Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or a suitable equivalent.
Current EMT certification or equivalent.
Cerrent CPR BLS/First Aid Certification
Knowledge of AED's and proper use of Oxygen tank
Able to bend, push, pull or lift up to 50lbs
Ability to walk and be on feet for extended periods of time in summer weather
Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Outstanding communication skills and a team player.
Excellent people skills.
Rate: $19.00/hour
