Job Summary
The Lagunitas School District has an anticipated opening for a full-time credential teacher to work collaboratively with the team of teachers, instructional assistants, art specialists, and resource staff. This position is ideal for a candidate who is excited by educational autonomy in a cooperative learning environment. The grade level for this teaching position has yet to be determined.
The elementary program at Lagunitas School District includes an emphasis on student choice and responsibility, global peace and cultural understanding, social-emotional learning and community, environmental connections, and small group lessons. Academic curriculum is based on best practices and current state standards. Classes are multi-grade and students form a community with students from other classes. Aides offer support in classrooms and specialists provide weekly art, music, garden, movement, and library classes.
