About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our podiatry practice. This is a dual-role position that combines both front office responsibilities and clinical support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing both administrative and clinical duties. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for patients while helping ensure smooth daily operations.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Duties
- Prepare patients for exams and assist during treatments and procedures
- Assist the provider during in-office visits and nursing home rounds
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system
- Clean and sterilize instruments according to protocol
- Keep treatment rooms clean, stocked, and organized
- Monitor inventory and notify when supplies need restocking
- Provide post-visit instructions as directed
Front Office Duties
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays (as needed)
- Confirm appointments and manage follow-ups
- Maintain organized patient records
- Coordinate referrals and medical records requests
- Support general administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
- Experience in podiatry or outpatient medical setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office (required)
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
