Company Description Laguna Resources is an oil and gas operator in Texas. The company is based in Houston, TX and Midland, TX.
We are hiring for an operations/production tech in the Midland office. The candidate will focus on production support along with responsibilities supporting the drilling and completion team.
Role Description
Cost, Failure, and Production Surveillance
- Prepare reports for monthly LOE review.
- Build and maintain dashboard to monitor LOE field level, CTB level, well level
- Track workovers
- Compare Budget vs Actual for Production Operations
- Track costs by job (ESP Rerun, Rod Part, HIT, P&A, etc)
- Build and maintain dashboard to monitor production and downtime
- Compare actual production from target/RE forecast
- Generate automated reports that flag biggest variance from previous production date
- Build and maintain Artificial Lift failure dashboard/data base.
- Compare vendor performance and total cost of ownership.
Ops Support
- Compile information and reports for failure meetings to support downhole defect elimination.
- Keep track of company owned artificial lift equipment inventory in vendor shops.
- Act as first line of support for Scada maintenance and modifications. Learn how to edit and create screens within zdScada.
- Compile reports and information for production ops, pipeline ops, and regulatory.
- Gather data needed to request GL, ESP, designs from vendors.
- Miscellaneous admin work
Qualifications
- College degree required and experience in oil and gas is preferred.
