Job Overview:
Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities such as install, repair, maintain, and test electrical equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates electronic testing equipment.
- Reads profiles and blue prints.
- Connects wires to fixtures, equipment, generators, motors and power cables to equipment.
- Checks pumps and power tools.
- Use various electrical hand tools.
- Works around various electrical voltages.
- Performs routine cleaning of pumps and power tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to enhance the overall operations and services of the department.
Requirements
- Job requires a diploma from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
- Two-year relate4d work experience is preferred.
- An Apprentice Electrician license is required.
- Knowledge of safety rules and procedures when working with energized electrical equipment.
- Must be available to work standby schedules/afterhours.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's Class C License.
- Must have basic computer and data entry skills.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds and pass a fit for duty physical examination.
