Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for shaping and protecting the Terminal B brand, driving guest and stakeholder engagement, and leading all corporate marketing and communications activities that support the strategic objectives of LaGuardia Gateway Partners. As a key member of the senior management team, this role will play an integral part to position LGP as a leading terminal operator in the North American Aviation Industry.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the integrated Marketing and Communications Strategy for LaGuardia Gateway Partners and Terminal B, aligned with corporate objectives, commercial priorities, guest experience goals, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Team on brand positioning, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and communications.
  • Establish annual objectives, budgets, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks for all marketing and communications activities.

Communications & Reputation Management

  • Develop and implement internal, external, executive, community, and crisis communications strategies.
  • Lead media relations and support executive communications, thought leadership, presence at industry events, presentations, and stakeholder messaging.
  • Proactively manage reputational risks and communication opportunities affecting the organization.

Marketing, Brand & Commercial Growth

  • Lead corporate and commercial marketing initiatives that strengthen Terminal B's brand, support business performance, and enhance the guest experience.
  • Own and manage the Terminal B brand, ensuring consistency across all communications, campaigns, and guest touchpoints.
  • Oversee social media, content development, events, partnerships, sponsorships, and other engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the Commercial Marketing Fund and ensure investments deliver revenue growth, measurable business and guest experience outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, airlines, concession partners, media, community organizations, and other internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure alignment of messaging, initiatives, and organizational priorities.

Innovation & Technology

  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the Marketing and Communications function by identifying and implementing modern tools, technologies, and digital solutions.
  • Leverage data, analytics, automation, AI, and emerging technologies. Drive the adoption of digital platforms, dashboards, content management systems, and workflow tools that enhance collaboration, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning across the team and external partners.

Performance & Team Leadership

  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communications activities.
  • Manage agencies, consultants, and external partners to ensure high-quality execution and value delivery.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the Marketing and Communications team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Competencies and Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into measurable results.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including executive communications.
  • Experience leading marketing, brand management, communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, content strategy, and reputation management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and budget management skills.
  • Experience managing agencies, consultants, and external partners.
  • Proven leader with the ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, corporate affairs, public relations, or related disciplines, including responsibility for strategy development and execution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate branding, stakeholder communications, media relations, digital marketing, and reputation management programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, data analytics, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to improve business outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience working in complex, highly visible, customer-facing environments with multiple stakeholder groups preferred.
  • Experience managing external agencies, consultants, creative partners, and vendors.
  • Airport, transportation, hospitality, real estate, infrastructure, or public-sector experience preferred.


Primary Work Location: LaGuardia Airport, NY (Onsite)


Employee Status: Full Time, Nights/Weekends as Required

Salary : $175,000 - $195,000
