Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fine dining environment. The ideal candidate must have 2 years fine dining experience, have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer any questions regarding food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service industry in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing.
- Knowledge of culinary practices, food preparation techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Experience as a host/host is advantageous for understanding guest relations.
