Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, and relay orders promptly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail and spirits service, while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transaction processing and cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options based on guest preferences

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing bills confidently
• Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
• Commitment to food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $2.13 - $3.00 per hour
