Position Overview
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be a key part of our service department. You will schedule vehicle service appointments, advise customers, and promote additional services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ratings as defined by management.
- Achieve or exceed standards for labor hours billed per customer repair order.
- Greet customers promptly, professionally, and courteously, keeping them informed during their wait.
- Accurately document customer and vehicle information, diagnose service needs, and prepare repair orders.
- Test-drive vehicles when necessary to evaluate concerns.
- Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with the service dispatcher regarding incoming work.
- Provide precise labor and parts estimates and obtain customer approvals.
- Obtain customer signatures on repair orders and provide copies.
- Follow up on repair progress and communicate any changes with customers.
- Answer phone inquiries related to service status and schedule appointments.
- Review final invoices against original repair orders for accuracy.
- Ensure quality control, minimizing return repairs.
- Deliver vehicles and address any customer questions or concerns.
- Maintain ongoing communication to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Keep service and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional use of hands for handling and feeling, reaching with arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Regular standing, talking, hearing, walking, and sitting.
- Potential exposure to exhaust fumes and airborne particles.
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds.
- Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision required.

Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of dealer experience preferred.
