What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Lafayette Wood-Works?
We are looking for a full-time outside sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects while servicing established accounts. This position includes biweekly guaranteed base pay plus unlimited commission based on sales to goal and services the Baton Rouge area. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to support revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Responsibilities
· Present, promote and sell products/services using solid sales techniques to existing and prospective customers
· Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
· Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
· Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments owning your orders
· Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
· Supply management with feedback and/or reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products
· Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
· Continuously improve through feedback
· Maintain a current and valid state issued driver’s license
· Must have dependable transportation. Monthly auto allowance provided.
· Willing to work hours required to complete sales duties
Skills
· At least 2 years’ experience in millwork sales
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office
· Possess strong math skills
· Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
· Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
· Ability to properly measure rough openings and other job site applications is necessary
· Attention to detail required
Training provided by a very experienced sales team.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000-$125,000 per year.
