What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) position at Lafayette Internal Medicine Clinic?
Our internal medicine practice is seeking experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant applicants. The ideal candidate would have a passion for patient care and enjoy working in a fast paced team centered environment. Our mission is to deliver high quality, efficient, and compassionate care to all of our patients.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Traditional clinic workflow which includes: patient data collection, vitals, medication reconciliation and EHR documentation.
- Medication and vaccine administration.
- Assisting provider(s) with in office procedures
- EKG's, finger stick A1C's, ear irrigations, and wound care as needed.
- Contact patients via phone or patient portal regarding test results once reviewed by the provider
- Return patient calls
- Prior Authorizations and Pre-Certs
- Complete referrals and schedule any necessary testing with outside facilities as ordered by the provider
Job Requirements:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience preferred
