Requires Missouri Secondary Teaching Certificate; School Counselor Certificate preferred.

If new to the district, start date is August 11, 2026.
Regular teacher orientation start date is August 18, 2026.

POSITION SUMMARY: Act as the official representative of the Rockwood School District in matters that support testing logistics and the Section 504 program components for assigned school site(s). The job of Testing/504 School-Based Facilitator was established for the purpose/s of coordinating assigned school site Testing & Section 504 education program components and related activities; providing information to others; and implementing and maintaining services within the established guidelines and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize skills to reach decisions through a problem-solving process
- Lead, facilitate and/or participate in 504 meetings such as evaluation/eligibility meetings, periodic reviews, transition evaluations, and others as deemed necessary
- Compose and/or maintain 504 related documents, in collaboration with the student’s 504 team to support all aspects of the 504 process, including uploading documents as needed
- Collaborate with district and building administration to support the dissemination of information and professional development related to 504 regulations to students, parents, teachers, and administration
- Collaborate with building personnel to implement and maintain consistent services and processes related to accommodations/disability plans
- Provides guidance with a variety of personnel to support comprehensive services for students in compliance with established guidelines
- In collaboration with District Testing Coordinator, aids in implementing a school-wide assessment calendar that aligns with state and district schedules, including major summative tests including the Missouri Assessment Program, ACT, SAT, and Advanced Placement (AP) exams
- Follows all procedures for securing testing materials including but not limited to: order, inventory, and securely storing all test materials, including test booklets and answer sheets, following strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Recruit, train, and manage test proctors and administrators on assessment procedures, test security, and proper handling of all testing materials
- Confirm that all student registration data is accurate. This includes working with special education coordinators to ensure students with IEPs or 504 plans receive the proper accommodations in each of the various platforms
- Coordinate with Information Technology and District Testing Coordinator, and the facilities staff to prepare testing rooms, ensuring proper technology, seating, and an appropriate testing environment
- Act as the on-site supervisor for all test administrations, ensuring that proctors and students adhere to all testing rules and protocols
- Report any testing irregularities or potential security breaches to the appropriate testing vendor, district test coordinator and building principal
- Manage budgetary items appropriately
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Missouri School Counselor Certificate (9-12) preferred, or valid secondary teaching certificate
- Knowledge of IDEA and 504 Programs
- Knowledge of the needs of special needs students and how to manage these challenges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, parents, and patrons
