Cyber Engagement Program Manager


Job Summary:
Lafayette Group is seeking qualified and team-oriented individuals to work with federal government organizations in support of national cybersecurity programs. The Cyber Engagement Program Manager leads a team focused on ensuring effective collaboration between industry, federal, state, local, tribal and territorial (FSLTT) governments, and international partners on cyber operational planning and defense. This position works directly with Project Managers and cleared Program Analysts to deliver services that support multi-agency collaboration and coordination, including strategic and operational planning, developing and enhancing information sharing networks, and leading engagements designed to support robust national cyber defense. Daily tasks may include providing stakeholder engagement support, developing, and presenting briefings, managing project status and milestone tracking, coordinating with customers receiving services, developing standard operating plans (SOPs) and process documentation and conducting stakeholder engagement, membership, and policy analyses.  


The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced, collaborative team member with expertise leading and facilitating multi-agency collaborations, has an innate curiosity to learn, and the drive to excel with a team of like-minded colleagues in a high-profile, fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead team of Program Analysts, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to help clients solve nationally significant cybersecurity challenges.  
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders; demonstrate that their needs are heard and understood, and their feedback valued.  
  • Design robust engagement strategies to cultivate effective information sharing, leveraging tools and automations to improve workflows and expedite information flow.  
  • Collect and analyze data and user feedback regarding the effectiveness and reach of engagement tools and strategies; continuously refine tactics and approach.  
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research and analysis in support of projects to identify key themes and trends.  
  • Ensure team develops and delivers high-quality products that meet client requirements on schedule and within budget.  
  • Lead client engagement and support, including preparing for and leading meetings, facilitating planning and data gathering sessions, and developing recommendations for plans, documents, and reports to support client needs.  
  • Ensure the development of high-quality written work products within and across areas of responsibility, including strategic plans, assessments and reports, presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and white papers. 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 12 years experience in management consulting, preferably with cybersecurity, cyber defense, and/or homeland security projects  
  • Demonstrated track record leading project teams in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, and successfully execute multiple efforts simultaneously   
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills; diplomatic and an excellent listener  
  • Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to remain open-minded, flexible and curious in problem-solving approach 
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically and learn quickly 
  • Ability to build relationships and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site 
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite  
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Master’s degree 
  • Certified Project Management Professional  
  • Experience with national-level stakeholder engagement, preferably with a focus on cyber policy and/or defense  
  • Experience implementing AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity.ai) into workflows  
  • Existing TS-SCI or Secret clearance or DHS Suitability 
 
Location: Hybrid: Arlington, VA 


Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance. 

Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000



Contingent Hire: This position will be hired contingent upon winning the Federal contract work.
