Position Summary: Perform manual labor and operate hand tools, motorized hand operated equipment and motor vehicles in the maintenance and repair of assigned roads and right of way. This may including operating a variety of vehicles (that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License) and various other types of maintenance and construction equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the techniques, methods, materials and equipment used in highway maintenance and improvement
- Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance procedures
- Ability to move up to 60 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop to perform duties
- Ability to manipulate controls to operate equipment
- Ability to work well in teams of co-workers
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others
