Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Team member to join our Staff. The ideal candidate will possess experience in heavy equipment, and industrial machinery repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Mechanic will work with various tools and systems, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to support our operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to modify or repair equipment.
- Maintain and repair heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance including general service repairs.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety standards are met.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or parts as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes including welding and soldering.
- Experience working with excavators, tractor-trailers, industrial equipment, hydraulics, air brakes.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to vehicles and industrial equipment is a plus.
