We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floral Designer Assistant to join our vibrant flower shop. Responsibilities
- Assist senior floral designers in creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions
- Prepare flowers and foliage by trimming, conditioning, and arranging materials
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the floral workspace and display areas
- Support with inventory management, including stocking flowers,supplies, and I merchandise
- Operate POS systems for customer transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with selections and answering questions
- Support merchandising efforts to ensure attractive displays that promote sales
- Help with general retail duties such as cashiering, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Contribute to e-commerce operations by updating online product listings or managing orders if applicable
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Experience
- Prior experience in floral design or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of flowers, gardening, house plant care, is advantageous
- Familiarity with retail sales processes, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude
