Position: FULL-TIME Nursing Assistant in Medical Unit - Night Purpose: The Nursing Assistant performs various duties assisting in the care and comfort of patients of all ages, as assigned by the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit. These activities are usually related to meeting the activities of daily living needs of the patient. Qualifications:
- A high school graduate, equivalent, or successfully completed a certified Nursing Assistant course (Louisiana Nurse Aide Registry).
- Able to read and write.
- Able to learn to work with a computer
- Able to work all shifts.
- Maintain current CPR.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Possesses positive customer service skills.
- Employee will be lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds approximately 5% of the day.
- Employee will be sitting approximately 15% of the day.
- Employee will be standing and walking approximately 60% of the day.
- Employee will be pushing and pulling approximately 10% of the day.
- Employee will be twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 5% of the day.
- Employee will be reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 5% of the day.
