Job Overview
We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, and enthusiastic candidate to facilitate the donation intake process at the Lake Travis Thrift Shop. As a Donation Attendant, you will be responsible for greeting and providing excellent customer service to our donors. You will also be tasked with interfacing with all of the back of the Shop departments regarding the handling and placement of incoming merchandise. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mission-driven retail environment and has a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist donors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming inventory by sorting and distributing donations to the proper department.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Work in a safe manner, adhering to proper handling of procedures of inventory.
- Communicate any safety hazards or concerns to Shop management and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
- Train volunteers, on an as needed basis, in the donation intake process.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- This position will not have any supervisory authority.
Experience & Requirements
- Ability to work well in a team environment with volunteer staff.
- Must be able to lift thirty pounds.
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a clean and well-groomed appearance.
