Position Title: Piano/Organ PlayerLocation: VA San Diego Healthcare System Chapel, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161Key ResponsibilitiesProvide piano and/or organ accompaniment for:Catholic Mass services (approx. 52 hours/year)Protestant Worship services (approx. 52 hours/year)Special worship services/events (approx. 6 hours/year)Coordinate musical selections with the Chaplain or designated worship leader.Arrive at scheduled services on time and fully prepared.Perform preludes, postludes, hymns, responses, and other liturgical musical pieces required for each service.Attend rehearsals or run-throughs as needed to ensure smooth service execution.Minimum QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency in piano and organ performance.Strong understanding of Catholic and/or Protestant liturgical music traditions.Prior experience providing worship music in a chapel, church, or similar setting.Preferred QualificationsFormal training in music performance or liturgical music.Experience working with Veterans or in military/VA chapel environments.Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of sacred musPowered by JazzHRl0NYbO0XW3
