Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency and routine medical care following accepted medical industry standards
- Administer medications and treatments based on written or verbal orders from medical direction
- Review prisoner medical records and confirm medical fitness to fly
- Maintain custody of all medical records, medications, and government-issued medical equipment
- Respond to in-flight medical emergencies involving prisoners, aircrew, or ground personnel
- Prepare and submit required reports, including USM 210 incident forms
- Conduct equipment checks before each mission; restock supplies at mission completion
- Be available within two hours of schedule changes; support overnight missions as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (must speak, read, and write English fluently)
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean 5-year driving record
- Minimum 3 years of Paramedic experience
- Current NREMT-Paramedic, CPR, AED, and ACLS certifications
