Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake physical examinations, medical assessments, and health histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state law and collaborative agreement
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical treatment plans
- Provide first aid, emergency response, and stabilization as required
- Participate in Disability Accommodation Committee (DAC) meetings and applicant file reviews
- Collaborate with mental health, substance abuse, dental, and wellness staff to support integrated care
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the Student Health Record (SHR)
- Establish and manage medical referrals for specialty and emergency care
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, training, and Job Corps assessments
- Provide health education and prevention counseling to students
- Report significant medical issues, incidents, and trends to the Health and Wellness Director and Center Director as required
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Job Corps PRH, and all applicable federal and state regulations
- Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in WA
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Formal collaborative agreement with a licensed Physician, in accordance with state scope-of-practice requirements, maintained for the duration of the contract
- Current DEA registration
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, community health, correctional health, or school-based health
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 16–24
